Our Story
The Lady Gardeners was founded by Sarah Johnston. A born and bred Dunedinite, Sarah went on her big overseas experience - travelling throughout Europe for a couple of years. She came to settle in the Highlands of Scotland where she found a local company called The Lady Gardeners.
After working full time for two years with the Inverness based gardening firm, Sarah decided it was time to come back to her homeland.
In the summer of 2015 armed with an absolute passion and dedication to gardening, Sarah has set up her very own Lady Gardeners in Dunedin.
Now in 2023, The Lady Gardeners is thriving and employs 10 people. There are three utes that you might see cruising around Dunedin, laden with gardening gear and usually very well packed with garden waste. Look out for the flowery trucks.
